Hi, I’m Aditi, an aspiring art and design practitioner. I’m currently in my fourth year, studying Bachelor of Design in Information Arts and Information Design Practices at Srishti Manipal. My practice has largely been reflective in nature, involving context and research-based storytelling for communication through media of illustration, poetry, creative writing, photography and publication. My current explorations range from nature and environmental reflections to feminism and gender-related observations.

My explorations are often inspired by poets, artists and designers whose values and work resonate with me. Some of them are Mary Oliver (here’s one of her poems that never fails to comfort me), Kriti Monga's ability to tell stories with wonder and empathy through her work, journals and type, and Sam Winston's ability to use text as image. I am also fascinated by the works of illustrators who tell stories and share thoughts poetically. Inspired by them, I enjoy visually capturing stories and memories of a place or event when I travel, often in my little sketchbook, or postcards. Recently, I've begun learning pottery and strive to bring its intentional processes to my practice.
